For the Ten Kerselaere care campus, four “urban villas” were built within an open park landscape. The apartments and residential units are each organised around a central atrium containing the shared facilities. The basic structure of the buildings consists of simple calcium silicate walls, supplemented where necessary by concrete walls, and a combination of precast wide slabs and in-situ cast load-bearing floors. The entire building features an external prefabricated concrete structure that forms the winter gardens and defines the façade.
