Construction of the Northern Regional Police Office in Antwerp. This public building fully assumes its role as a landmark in the neighbourhood, with a recognizable and identifiable architectural presence, rather than being just another office or residential building in the long stretch of Bredabaan. The various entrances are arranged around the small entrance square along Bredabaan. Police functions are organized around a central courtyard at ground level, which also provides natural light and visibility for the reception area. The police offices and a number of shared facilities, such as the canteen and meeting rooms, are located on the upper floors along Bredabaan. On Winkelhaakstraat, an entrance provides access to two underground levels accommodating the car park, the cell complex, storage areas, technical rooms, and maintenance facilities.
