Near Brussels South Station, Zampone architecten boldly transforms an existing school building, notably through the implementation of a new sculptural circulation route. From the ground floor, an exposed concrete external walkway rises upward, to which an equally articulated spiral staircase is attached, providing access to the upper level and an elevated playground. The underside of this playground displays an apparently random pattern, which is in fact the articulation of an irregular beam grid, designed in accordance with the load paths resulting from the architectural constraints and the position of the five columns
