Adjacent to and partially above the existing underground parking garage, a substantial extension of the police station in Mechelen was realized. The existing parking basement was expanded with two additional underground levels, which also house the cell complex. Above ground, five new floors were added, featuring an exterior skeleton of columns and beams in architectural concrete.
