The primary structural system of this building for De Vierklaver consists of in-situ cast concrete columns and prefabricated concrete beams, supporting prestressed hollow-core slabs. Above the sports hall, an in-situ cast concrete box girder was constructed to carry the classrooms on the upper floor. The two horizontal cavities within this concrete beam accommodate the technical services, allowing building systems to be integrated into the structural design from the early design phase.
