The project consists of an extension to a newly constructed house completed a few years earlier. The addition is a freestanding rectangular volume, radically closed on two sides and almost invisible due to a mirrored finish, while the rear façade is fully glazed, offering views over the fields of Horebeke. The building is founded on mini-piles and constructed from a prefabricated timber frame. The column rhythm and the exposed wooden lattice are carefully coordinated and detailed with precision.
